Sheikh Ali Abdullah Jaber Murtal of the Koran and one of the most beautiful voices in this area, and was born in Dhu al-Hijjah in 1373 AH in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

His parents moved to Madinah, then five years old, and then his father, who was eleven years old, died and his uncle took care of him.

Sheikh Ali Jaber learned the Koran when he was fifteen years old. And received his primary education at the school "Dar al-Hadith" Medina, and then secondary school Islamic University in the city before joining the Faculty of Sharia of the Islamic University.

Sheikh Ali Jaber was appointed Professor of Islamic Studies at King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah and Assistant Professor at Madinah University.

In 1986, Sheikh Ali Jaber received his doctorate in jurisprudence from the Higher Institute of Judiciary in Jeddah.

Then he took the Imamate at the Sacred Mosque in Mecca where he listened to the millions of Muslims in his reading of the food with which the hearts fell, and Sheikh Ali Jaber was imam in Mecca until 1989.

Sheikh Ali Jaber is to recite the Quran at least twice a day until he died after a severe illness. He was then 53 years old. This was on Wednesday 14 September 2005 corresponding to 12 Dhul Qa'da 1426 in Jeddah.
